27 November 2025 – The EU-ASEAN Business Council, leading a delegation of European business leaders, was honoured to be received by Prime Minister of Vietnam H.E. Phạm Minh Chính today, concluding its four-day Business Mission to Hanoi, Vietnam.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Chính briefed our delegates on Vietnam’s socio-economic progress and the country’s development outlook. He also reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with the business sector and called on the support of European businesses to further enhance EU-Vietnam relations.
The Council very much welcomes Vietnam’s renewed drive to work more closely with international partners, including Europe, and looks forward to supporting Vietnam and achieving greater shared prosperity. We extend our deepest appreciation to Prime Minister Chính and the Office of the Government for this meaningful dialogue.
In addition to this, the last day of our Business Mission featured meetings with EU Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Julien Guerrier and Minister of Public Security H.E. Lương Tam Quang. Discussions focused on Vietnam’s economic future, as well as its digital economy, cybersecurity and anti-counterfeiting policies, and mechanisms for enhanced cooperation.
This Mission was one of our largest to date, bringing together over 120 delegates from 40 organisations and featuring 15 engagements across four days. Meetings covered a wide range of strategic areas, including macroeconomic outlook, investment policy, healthcare, energy transition, digital regulation, agriculture, financial services, and sustainable development.
