About the EU-ASEAN Business Council
The EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) is the primary voice for European businesses within the ASEAN region. We advocate for policies that promote economic growth, trade, and investment between the EU and ASEAN, fostering stronger economic relations and business opportunities.
Position Overview
The Communications Intern will support the EU-ABC’s advocacy team in enhancing the Council’s visibility and engagement across multiple platforms. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in international communications, public relations, and digital marketing within a dynamic and influential business council.
Key Responsibilities
· Content Creation
o Assist in drafting, editing, and publishing content for position papers, newsletters, press releases, social media (LinkedIn and X) and the EU-ABC website
o Produce bi-weekly news roundup for EU-ABC Members and disseminate on Glue Up platform
o Disseminate monthly newsletter “Notes from the ED” on Glue Up platform
o Keep abreast of external events and assess alignment with ongoing EU-ABC work
· Social Media Management
o Help manage and grow EU-ABC’s presence on platforms like LinkedIn and X by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and creating multimedia content
· Administrative Tasks
o Perform administrative duties such as maintaining contact databases (membership and government contacts), maintaining distribution lists for EDM marketing, maintaining the website (WordPress), tracking media coverage, compiling reports on communication activities
· Event Support
o Assist in organising and promoting events, webinars, and conferences, including creating promotional materials, managing registrations, and providing on-the-ground support
Qualifications
· Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
· Skill:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
o Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools
o Basic knowledge of content management systems and email marketing software
o Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a must
