In November, COP27 will bring about government delegates together to accelerate global efforts. CropLife Asia, together with the Canada-ASEAN Business Council, the EU-ASEAN Business Council, and the US-ASEAN Business Council, are also working collectively within Southeast Asia as the ASEAN Safe, Nutritious Food Alliance, to carry out a series of national workshops that will culminate in an event in conjunction with the 44th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF).
These workshops bring together a consortium of national and regional stakeholders, sector leaders and experts to speak on their best practices and experiences in addressing current challenges across the full food value chain – particularly those posed by the growing climate crisis and its impact on food security around the region. Heavily focussed on enhancing the ASEAN’s ability to meet key agricultural development goals, the workshops provide a dialogue for greater partnership in strengthening food security in the region.
