The EU-ASEAN Business Council began its three-day business mission to Manila with a series of high-level meetings with key Philippine government agencies, including:
- Department of Transportation (DOTr): Secretary Giovanni Lopez
- Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP): Governor Eli Remolona
- Department of Agriculture (DA): Undersecretary Roger Navarro
- Joint session with the Department of Finance (DOF) and Bureau of Customs (BOC): Undersecretary Charlito Mendoza (DOF); Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno (BOC)
Discussions centred on several key themes, including strengthening transport infrastructure and regulations; advancing digital finance and cybersecurity protections; cooperation on food security and preventive care; as well as easing trade flows and improving customs efficiency.
