The Philippines Department of Trade and Investment, Board of Investment, and the EU-ASEAN Business Coucnil invites you to the inaugural Philippine Business Forum on Green and Digital Technologies on 27 June!
The Forum will showcase the Philippines’ potential as an investment destination, and its commitment to energy transition and digital transformation. The Philippines is projected to be a trillion-dollar economy by 2030, with GDP growth estimated at 6.3% this year. With ambitions to attain middle-income status, the country’s energy sector must rise to the challenge of supporting its next phase of growth amidst the rapid expansion of industries to sustain its development requirements and the need to meet climate targets. While energy transition is a challenge, it also brings new opportunities.
The Philippines is on track to tackle this challenge head on by 2030, 35% of its power will be derived from renewable energy and will increase to half by 2040. Solar and wind projects have taken off successfully in the country, and its vast mineral reserves will facilitate new sectors like battery development as well as in developing renewable energy sources to support energy intensive industries like semiconductors.
The Forum will also underscore the immense potential and exciting opportunities that the Philippines offers. Hear from leading Philippines companies at the forefront of innovation in the green and digital technology sectors their success stories, solutions, and growth plans. Through insightful presentations, an interactive panel discussion, and networking opportunities, the Philippine Business Forum will facilitate meaningful dialogue and foster partnership between key stakeholders in the Philippines, Belgium, and the wider Europe. Stand to also gain first-hand knowledge of the favourable investment climate, government support, and emerging market trends in the Philippines.
Join us in this journey! Belgium and Europe’s innovation and expertise in green and digital technologies are welcome pathways for the Philippines to achieve our climate and sustainable development ambitions. Together, we can make it happen.”
