The Edge Malaysia | 27 August 2025 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday said that Malaysia as the Asean chair intends to convene a summit of member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which comprises numerous major Asian economies here in October.
He said that the aim is to prove that Asia, as a continent of major economies, could still lead the cause of openness even as others turn inward in the global economic arena.
